Where It All Started
Look, I won't bore you with some dramatic origin story. Truth is, I was just a kid who couldn't afford the fancy tuning shops when I bought my first beat-up Civic. So I learned to do it myself - nights and weekends in my dad's garage, YouTube tutorials, and a whole lot of trial and error. Blew up an engine once. Learned real quick what NOT to do.
Getting Serious About It
Spent six years working at different shops around Vancouver - everything from quick-lube joints to high-end European specialists. Each place taught me something different, but they all had the same problem: treating cars like numbers on a service ticket. That never sat right with me. Your car's got a personality, you know? It deserves better than cookie-cutter treatment.
Opening Our Doors
Took the leap and opened Thalorion Ascend with pretty much everything I had. The name? Yeah, it's a bit dramatic - my daughter came up with it from some fantasy book she was reading. But it stuck because that's what we're about: taking your ride to the next level, making it legendary. Started with just me and one bay. Now we've got a full team and we're still turning away work most weeks.
Today & Tomorrow
We've worked on everything from '67 Mustangs to brand new Porsches, daily drivers to track monsters. Every single one gets the same attention because honestly? That's the only way we know how to work. We're not trying to be the biggest shop in Vancouver - just the one you can trust when it really matters.
